Giuseppe Giordano, native of Puglia in Italy splits his time between Bari, his native place and Co. Limerick in Ireland where he lives together with his partner Louisa, a Speech Therapist and English Teacher. Together with their irish family in the heart of the Golden Vale and at the foot of the Ballyhoura mountains they managed a farm with cows and chickens.
With his professional team, he works as a multilingual guide (Italian, English, French, Spanish), Travel Consultant and Destination Specialist specialised in designing tailor made itineraries to better discover the beauties of his Region, Italy and Europe. Moreover, he is a location scouter.
Already trained as a tourist guide for visually impaired people, Giuseppe better specialised in this area by attending a course organised by the English Heritage. Here he has offered his own contributions with suggestions coming from his experience in Puglia and with a voluntary activity as part of the initiative Helping Hands.
Giuseppe Giordano carried out his studies first in Florence, where he studied Economy and Management of Tourist Services. He furthered his studies in Milan, where he obtained the Diploma in Ticketing Sales Agent at the Scuola Superiore del Commercio e Turismo.
He improved his knowledge of languages in customer services, sales and marketing departments in various northern European countries such as Norway, Ireland, UK and the Netherlands, developing a good familiarity with different cultural realities.
Back in Bari he has obtained the professional qualification of Technical Director of Travel Agencies and Promoter of the Territory.
Lately he has received the Guide Course Certificate for Norway of Møre and Trøndelag Guideservice, one of the first tourist service organizations of Norway.
Giuseppe holds the position of councellor inside Federagit Terra di Bari, a category national association that promotes the knoweldge of the apulian cultural heritage., valorizing unusual itineraries and supporting a sustainable tourism.
As location manager he has worked successfully with RAI (Italian State TV) for the realization of various documentaries.
Giuseppe has collaborated with the Town of Hertford, approx 30 km north of London as a Tourism Development Manager, dealing with projects and relations to better improve the tourist offer of the town and to incentivise the economical impact.
He also attended a First Aid Response Course at Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council.
Recently he achieved the Quality & Qualification Ireland Level 6 (QQI 6) in National Tour Guiding (Irish Tour Guiding - National; National Tour Management; Irish Natural Heritage and Culture - National).
